‘I start from my basic material – paint’ - Introduction to the symposium

Klaas Jan van den Berg introduced the symposium, explaining the larger framework of the research program into the conservation of Heritage of the 20th Century (2020-2024) that he directed at the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands. He presented the interdisciplinary approach as well as the specific focus of the symposium, which is a follow-up to the symposium on Piet Mondrian and Jan Schoonhoven that had taken place in The Hague in 2023.
